Girls of the Lingerie Bowl

Many people want to know about the girls of the lingerie bowl.

In 2004, Horizon Productions founded the Lingerie Football League. To become a part of the league, the company held tryouts in various major cities around the nation. The girls that made it through tryouts moved on to training camp. If they made the cut in training camp, they officially became part of a Lingerie Football League team. Games are held throughout the year with the culmination of the season ending in the Lingerie Bowl.

The Lingerie Bowl game is a pay-per view event played during the National Football League's Super Bowl halftime show. So, just who are these girls of the Lingerie Bowl?

Before any of these female football players can officially become a girl of a lingerie bowl, their team has to make it there first. Since the Lingerie Bowl has been canceled in the past and the current season doesn't begin until the fall, here are some girls that have a great chance of making it to the Lingerie Bowl in 2010.

Playing for two time champions The New York Majesty, (formerly the New York Euphoria, whose name was given to New England), Krystal Gray is 23 years old and hails from Niagara Falls, New York. Gray began playing Little League football when she was just four years old and the love for the Gridiron has stuck with her ever since. Krystal has an impressive resume that includes:

• A stint in the Air Force as an Aerospace Medical Technician
• National ranking in martial arts
• Includes boxing as one of her many hobbies

Krystal is currently team captain and training to become the Majesty's next quarterback.

Playing the position of quarterback for Lingerie Bowl champs The Los Angeles Temptation (formerly the Los Angeles Dream), Joey Davenport is considered to have the strongest arm in the Lingerie Football League. This is Joey's second year in the league and she's hoping her previous experience will lead her team to victory during the season and ultimately, in the upcoming Lingerie Bowl.

This Los Angeles Temptation player brings three years experience to her team. Niki is a fierce competitor and plays the tough position of Defensive Lineman (or defensive linewoman).

Hailing from San Bruno, California, she plays the position of Offensive Lineman. Lauren Jenkins has two years of previous experience, which gives her a bit of an advantage over all the rookie players on many of the teams' rosters.

Though some have balked at the idea of grown women playing full contact football in their skivvies, the Lingerie Bowl has been very well received by fans in the past and many are looking forward to the upcoming season. No matter how you feel about it, there is no doubt that just because these girls wear their bras and panties to work, it does not mean they are not skilled players of the game. The ladies work hard in training camp, have mini-camps throughout the season and most have regular day jobs on top of their Lingerie Football League jobs. There is also no doubt that these ladies have a deep and abiding passion for the game of American football.
