Hipster Panties
From LoveToKnow Lingerie
With Low, Low Waistbands, What's a Girl to Do?
Pants are as low as ever these days, and hipster panties are the only way to go. Otherwise, you'll be showing the world your bright red thong, and trust us, no one wants to see that. That fad went out fast a few years ago.
Hipster panties are just what they sound like--low-rise panties that go well under your lowest blue jeans or mini skirts. Normally, you'll find them in boy short styles, but you can get super low-rise thongs, bikinis and most other styles.
Styles of Hipster Panties: from Thongs to Bikinis
If you're a thong girl, or wear bikinis only, you can still find your Holy Grail hipster panties. You may have to search harder if you're not interested in the boy styles, but shopping online makes it as painless as possible. There are the big, well-known stores like Secret and of Hollywood, as well as smaller stores with a boutique feel that you can find in a Google search.
A few of those smaller spots to look at online:
- Fresh Pair (and their Hanky Panky Stretch Lace Low-Rider Thong has to be the lowest of the low--in a good way!)
The Hippest of the Hipsters
For a barely there look under your low AND tight pants, try the Barely There Flawless Fit Hipster. They promise to stay hidden.
If you're a Victoria's Secret fan, check out their Satin Hiphugger panties. They go on sale quite often, and if you've got a free shipping coupon code, well, what are you waiting for?
And here is a low rise cotton thong sure to be soft and comfortable all day and night.
Finally, this Starlight Stretch G-String Panty from Fredericks of Hollywood is sure to stay tucked away even in your tiniest jeans or skirts.
When Hipster Panties Are a Pain
If you're wearing higher cut blue jeans, pants or a skirt, hipster panties can be quite annoying. You'll feel them sliding down, and the difference between the waistband of the outerwear and the underwear is very distracting.
Another potential problem comes from the panty lines this style of panties can cause. If you're wearing thin khaki pants with a high waist, for example, not only do you run the risk of vertical panty lines (unless you're wearing a thong or G-string), but you may just have a horizontal line, too. The horizontal line that sits lower than the waistband on your pants, while unsightly, can also make you look as if you carry fat on that strip of your body. The area between the two waistbands can look like an oddly placed fat deposit. Who wants that?
Bottom line: wear your pants and your panties paired appropriately!
