Lace Bra Cami
From LoveToKnow Lingerie
A lace bra cami is the perfect balance between a bra and a camisole.
About the Lace Bra Cami
Some lace bra style camis are similar in shape to a sports bra, but definitely sexier. They also offer more support than wearing just a camisole alone. Adding a bit more to the sex appeal of these is the fact that you can wear a shirt in which the delicate lace on top peeks out just a bit without showing too much cleavage. Of course, there are also designs that have more of a plunging neckline if you want to bare a little more skin.
The Designs
There are two primary designs to these bras. The first is like the sports bra mentioned above. The bra comes down to just below the breasts and comes up higher at the neck. The second design is a more traditional cami design, where it is cut similarly to a bra around the breasts and neckline, but comes down to the waist. Both are extremely comfortable (as long as you buy your correct size) and versatile. Here are a few places that offer a wide selections to browse through:

Buying Your Camisole
Since bra camisoles are designed to offer more support than traditional camisoles, there are a few things you should keep in mind when purchasing yours:
- Adjustable straps – This is pretty much a given, but double check just to make sure.
- Fit – Some camis may fit differently than your regular sized bras. Also, many of these types of camis come in small, medium and large as opposed to a cup size. This is why it's best to either try them on, or if you're purchasing online, read a few reviews of what other users have to say about the fit. Be sure to keep your receipt just in case you need to exchange the cami.
- Materials – A satin and lace cami is, of course, going to feel very smooth and soft against your skin, but just lace may be a bit itchy if it isn't very high quality.
Caring for Your Lace
You'll want your camisole looking great for many years, especially if you paid a decent amount of money for it. The one way you can ensure that this will happen is to properly care for your them. This means:
- Always hand wash – Lace is pretty delicate, so be sure not to use too much soap. Also, the water should be lukewarm or cold--not hot.
- Line dry – Avoid putting lace in the dryer as it tends to not only shrink the material, but the lace can get misshapen as well.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals – This means no bleach. Ever. Bleach is too harsh for delicate lace and literally eats away at the fabric.
