Lingerie Bowl Blogs
From LoveToKnow Lingerie
Even though the lingerie bowl was canceled for the 2009 Super Bowl, many of the girls still maintain Lingerie Bowl blogs.
About the Lingerie Bowl
The Lingerie Bowl began in 2004 and was the brainchild of Horizon Productions. The Lingerie Bowl featured various teams from the Lingerie Football League playing American football dressed in basically bras and boy short style panties. People could subscribe to this pay per view event that took place during the Super Bowl's halftime. Though the Lingerie Bowl was canceled for the 2009 Super Bowl, it is set to return to regular game play in the fall of 2009 to prepare for the 2010 Super Bowl. As a matter of fact, owners are even talking about expanding the league to include both Canada and Europe.
Lingerie Bowl Players
For girls who wish to become Lingerie Football League players, Horizon Productions hold tryouts throughout the year in various cities across the United States. Tryouts for the Lingerie Football League are similar to tryouts for the National Football League. Players that make it through the initial tryouts even have to go to training camp to see if they have what it takes to make the final cut.
Throughout the entire season, many of the women players maintain Lingerie Bowl blogs to keep fans updated as to what is going on with their respective teams.
Where to Find Lingerie Bowl Blogs
If you are a fan of the Lingerie Football League, here are a few places in which you can read blogs of past and present Lingerie Bowl football players:
MySpace
The Lingerie Football League's MySpace page is updated relatively frequently and keeps fans abreast of things like:
- Photo albums – This page contains photo albums and slideshows from various teams on the Lingerie Football League like the Atlanta Stealth and the San Diego Seduction.
- Training – Fans can keep up to date on Eastern and Western Conference training camps.
- Events – Any Lingerie Football League events are posted to this page.
Many, but not all of the girls from the League have separate blogs. Here are some of the ladies that keep all of their fans posted on what's going on with them via MySpace:
- Jenna Bloczinski – New to the LFL, Jenna Bloczinski is a Seattle Mist rookie.
- Kayla Nicole – A Dallas Desire running back
- Kassie Fortier – A rookie for the Phoenix Scorch
- Justine Jaro – Another rookie for the Atlanta Steam
Other Places to Find Lingerie Football Bowl Blogs
If you are looking for a Lingerie Bowl blog that is written by a neutral third party and not by one of the girls themselves, there are a few short blogs to be found out there:
- L.A. Times Blog – The Los Angeles Times blog occasionally has a bit of news about the goings on of the Lingerie Bowl.
- Word Press – A few sports bloggers at Word Press keep up to date on the LFL and pass that knowledge on to its readers.
- Tampa Bay Blog – There are a few little tidbits about the Lingerie Bowl on this Florida blog.
Whether you love it or hate it, the Lingerie Football League seems to be expanding and since there is an obvious demand, it's more than likely going to be around for awhile. In the past, the Lingerie Bowl has been met with a good deal of success. Its 2009 cancellation was not due to the fact that the league could not get enough subscribers for its pay-per-view event; it was canceled because it was met with some controversy over a group of fans wanting the Lingerie Bowl to go nude. This, of course, did not happen so event organizers canceled the bowl altogether.
No worries, Lingerie Football fans. The Lingerie Bowl is still, so far, on for the 2010 Super Bowl. The 2010 Super Bowl and Lingerie Bowl is scheduled for February 7, 2010 to be played in Dolphin Stadium (the stadium switches names from LandShark Stadium to Dolphin Stadium in January 2010) in Miami, Florida.
