Nylon Nightgowns for Men
From LoveToKnow Lingerie
It seems that nylon nightgowns for men may be a thing of the past. If you search for them, you'll still come up with numerous hits for women's nightgowns, but not men's. You'll even stumble across confessional blogs where men speak of wearing women's nightgowns instead.
Search for Nylon Nightgowns for Men
If you search for "nylon nightshirts for men," you're more likely to pull up better Google results than if you search "nylon nightgowns for men." Perhaps it's because the term "nightgown" is more often associated with women's lingerie, while a nightshirt, basically the same thing, is considered a more masculine moniker.
The terms nightshirt and nightgown aren't always interchangeable because sometimes nightshirts come as part of a two-piece set (ome include pants and some include shorts). Keep that in mind while you shop and make sure that the "shirt" you're looking at is long enough to stand alone. Here is an example of a nylon sleep suit from JCPenney. Unfortunately, the shirt isn't long enough to be worn comfortably without the bottom piece.
Again, you may have a hard time finding nylon styles in lieu of seersucker, cotton, flannel and other blends. Finding the perfect nylon nightgown for men can become quite a feat!
What Makes Nylon Appealing?
Who doesn't want to slip into something comfortable at the end of the day? That goes for men as well as women. Nylon's silky, soft, and slippery. It offers ease of movement and inspires relaxation--perfect for lounging as the sun goes down. It's also cheaper than silk, though the comfort level is almost the same. If you decide to sleep in your nylon pajamas rather than just lounging around in them, they can make sliding around on the sheets even easier.
Another thing that's great about nylon is you can enjoy it in the summer or the winter. In the summer, you can put on a knee-length nylon nightgown with short sleeves and enjoy the freedom of airflow and the cool fabric against your skin. In the winter, combine that same nightgown (or a nightshirt in a shorter length with long sleeves) with nylon pants for a warm, cozy pajama set, perfect for wearing in front of the television while you sip hot chocolate before bed.
The Allures and Turn-offs of Nightgowns
As with most types of lingerie, there are pros and cons to nylon nightgowns. In many cases, it doesn’t matter if you're male or female when it comes to this type of sleepwear. The ease (or lack) of movement is still there, as is the difficulty of shopping for something so specific in a day and age when nylon nightgowns seem outdated.

Since it's still easier to find nylon nightgowns for women, men may want to shop around either online or in department stores for unisex styles.
Alternatives to Nylon
For some reason, it's easier to find men's nightgowns in materials other than nylon. There's flannel, as seen here (maybe it's more "manly"?), and cotton-poly blend (designed and marketed for hospital patients).
Going to Nextag.com could prove worthy of your time if you aren't set on nylon. They have a selection of price and style comparisons that covers everything from flannel to madras.
Comments
The first time wore nylon panties was when I was about four. Grandm didn't get the laundry done because she as sick, Mom was at work, Dad was overseas in the Air Force and Grandpa woed the farm. Granma had me put on sis' light blue pantis until the lundry was done and I rmember how soft and cool they felt against my skin. I was hooked to say the least. Boys shorts usually were rough cotton or flannel, had wide harsh elastic bands at the waist and didn't usually fit too well in other ways. Plus they were hot. Years later while in Viet Nam, I went on R&R to Thailand and then Japan. Two ladies I met were enthusiastic about my complements on hemnd their lingerie. One thng led to another and I took my 'trophies' back to Viet Nam with me. Freshly laundered and sprayed with my lady friends perfume, they got lots of comments. I also wore them whenever I could. Dicreetly of course. Today, I have my own nylon/spandex microfiber panties, my wife has hers, we each have our own nightgowns. Hers are Shadowline, Mine are Vanity Fair. I also have my own slips and hose. The panties give great support where it's needed. The rest is just comfortable. My wife is very wise and asks why women should be the only ones to have soft fabric caress their skin. Kohs has the right fabric in boxers, but they still have harsh elastic bands at the waist.

Why? Very simple if you have never worn a nightdress you have no idea how comfortable they are! Women may like to look sexy and pretty in bed and so they should, but they are also clever enough to know how comfortable, warm in winter and cool in summer the nightie is! No waist bands! pyjama legs, or jacket like tops
Forget being embarrassed there are plenty of nighties with out masses of lace although why we all get so embarrassed with a bit of lace or a few frills I canât think! Our Georgian forefathers never did. Men wore plenty of lace in those days!
Forget what other may say--ignorance comes for the lack of experience. Try one you will soon appreciate why I wear one every night!
Incidentally my wife is supportive and fully understands--often borrows mine or lends me hers!
