Sports Bras for Small Busted Women
From LoveToKnow Lingerie
Sports bras for small busted women are just as important as sports bras for large busted women.
The Mechanics of Sports Bras
Basically, the design of a sports bra is to protect delicate breast tissue. Breast tissue is delicate whether you are small chested or a bit more well endowed. Believe it or not, small busted women are just as prone to sagging as those with larger chests. This is why it is just as important to find the proper sports bra whether you are an A cup or a DD. Still don't think so? Here is an explanation of the physiology behind the need for sports bras.
The Physiology Behind Sports Bras
Everyone knows that breast tissue is very delicate, but why? Without having to take a Human Anatomy and Physiology class, here is a quick explanation: Basically, the part of your body that holds up and supports your breasts is called Cooper's Ligament. Unlike skin, these ligaments are non-elastic, meaning, they do not stretch and then snap back into place. Once Cooper's ligaments are stretched out, they remain that way permanently. This translates into saggy breasts, no matter if they are big or small.
Some believe they can work out their pectoral muscles to get their breasts to, shall we say, stand up and salute again. No matter how much you work out your pectoral muscles to get your breasts back to their proper place, it won't work. The only thing this will do is strengthen and build the muscle underneath the breast and not the breast itself. You will just end up with a strong chest and saggy breasts.
Now that you know the importance of wearing a sports bra for small busted women, if you are small busted, then you know that sometimes, they can be difficult to find.

If the higher prices of sports bras giving you the most pause, think of it this way: spending $30-50 on a good quality sports bra is much more affordable than the breast lift you are going to want years down the road if you don't wear one.
