When in doubt, you may want to consult with a bra sizing specialist in a lingerie or department store to make sure you're wearing the correct size.

-- Contributed by: LouiseWow, sorry for the confusion! Thanks for the info, Zoe.
-- Contributed by: CrystalSchwankeSame problem for me - my calculated size was 38AA when in truth I'm a 34DD. What a laugh!
-- Contributed by: EmileeSame happened to me - i am actually a 34e and these guides told me i was an a cup?! Don't think so!
-- Contributed by: KimAll the bra size calculators you linked here gave me totally the wrong size. One told me 34DD, and the rest told me 34B. I am actually between 30E and 30FF (and occasionally 28F or 28FF) depending on the brand.
You are right that at least 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra, but it is because they are following these measurement guides!!! The majority of women need a smaller band size, (often 2 or more sizes smaller!) either because they have been calculating their bra size by measuring their underbust and adding too many inches, or just simply guessing their size.
If you want to find out your *true* bra size, go to bravissimo's website. They will show you how to tell if your bra actually fits, not what size you should be according to your measurements.
